Fort George is a 5.8-km out-and-back trail near Vis town. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 22 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
This beautiful path leads from the center of the old town of Vis towards the fortress George, built by the British in 1813. The path leads along the coast and the beautiful coves of Vis to the fortress located on a high promontory with a dazzling view of the entire Adriatic, with a magnificent view of the sunset.

Day 4: Vis - Bol, Brač
Vidova Gora trail leads from Bol to the top of Vidova Gora the highest peak on all the Adriatic islands.
The trail is well marked and initially follows a macadam road, and then a stony path along the mountain, called Vela staza or Roman trail, because it was built back in Roman times.
The first part of the trail climbs moderately, then gradually enters a rugged valley and climbs in multiple bends through the rock, thus softening the ascent.
At the top of the valley, the path crosses to the other side, climbs steeper and winds between rocks and high vertical cliffs, after which it emerges on the ridge of Vidova gora. From the top there is a wonderful view of the southern side of the island, the sea and the especially beautiful Zlatni Rat beach.
