About the Route

The route begins upstream from Omiš and flows 8 km through the Cetina's calm, emerald pools framed by limestone cliffs. Paddle pace is gentle and relaxed — this is not a whitewater tour. The journey ends at a sandy beach where the river merges with the Adriatic, giving you time to snorkel in warm, clear sea water and relax before the return transfer. Water temperature is typically 16–20°C in summer.

Is Cetina kayaking worth it compared to other Split-area activities?

Honest comparison for travellers deciding how to spend a half-day from Split or Omiš.

Activity Price Duration Activity level Best for

Cetina kayaking is the only Malduk tour that combines river paddling and Adriatic snorkeling in one half-day. Rafting delivers more adrenaline with rapids and cliff jumping. Canyoning is more physical — hiking, swimming and scrambling through the canyon. Extreme Canyoning (€70) is for the most adventurous, with 60m abseils and technical passages. Kayaking is the better choice for very young children and anyone wanting a relaxed half-day. Many guests do both on separate days.

Yes — Cetina kayaking is the only half-day activity near Split that combines river paddling and Adriatic sea snorkeling in a single outing. The price-to-experience ratio is strong at €40 per person for a 3–4 hour guided adventure with all equipment, photos, and snorkeling gear included. Compared to a Blue Cave boat tour (€60–90, 8–10 hours, mostly passive), Cetina kayaking is more active, more affordable, and half the day commitment. It's the best choice for families with young children and mixed-ability groups wanting a memorable outdoor experience without adrenaline demands.
