Our Story

Local guides.
Real adventures.

Malduk Adventures was founded in 2019 by Damir, a lifelong local whose passion for the Cetina River began as a rafting guide back in 2003.

We're a small, locally owned team — and every guide grew up in or around Omiš. We don't run factory tours. Our groups are kept small, our guides know every bend in the river, and our goal is always the same: to give you a day on the Cetina you won't forget.

We specialise in white water rafting, canyoning, kayaking, and hiking — all on or around the Cetina River Canyon. Whether you're arriving from Split for a half-day or joining us for a full week, we take care of everything.

Why Omiš?

Croatia's adventure capital

Omiš is widely regarded as Croatia's adventure capital. Situated just 25 kilometres south of Split, the town sits where the Cetina River meets the Adriatic — a geography that creates a unique corridor of canyons, waterfalls, and rapids found nowhere else on the Dalmatian coast.

Unlike Split or Dubrovnik, Omiš has maintained a relaxed, local atmosphere. It is less crowded, more authentic, and — for the right traveller — far more rewarding.

101km
The Cetina River runs through Dalmatia before meeting the Adriatic at Omiš — offering Grade 2–3 rapids suitable for beginners and experienced rafters alike.
180m
Canyon walls up to 180 metres high, with underground tunnels, natural caves, and the 50-metre Gubavica Waterfall — the setting for all our canyoning tours.
2,100m
Zipline above the canyon — 8 wires set 150 metres above the river, one of the longest zipline systems in Croatia. Available as an add-on to any Malduk tour.
13th c.
Old town with a pirate legacy — two hilltop fortresses overlooking the Adriatic, and the annual Festival of Dalmatian Klapa songs each July.

Our Home River

The Cetina River

The Cetina River is the beating heart of everything we do. Fed by underground springs in the mountains of Dalmatia, it runs crystal-clear year-round — with water temperatures between 14°C and 17°C during the season.

The 10-kilometre rafting route from Slime to Radmanove Mlinice passes through three distinct sections: calm stretches perfect for beginners, a natural cave accessible by raft, and a final run of Grade 2–3 rapids that bring the adventure to life.

The season runs April to November — peaking between June and September when water temperatures rise and the canyon fills with the sound of paddles and laughter.

About Omiš

Everything you need to know about getting here, what to expect, and why Omiš should be on your Croatia itinerary.

Omiš is a coastal town in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia, located 25 km south of Split along the Adriatic coast. It sits at the mouth of the Cetina River, directly opposite the island of Brač.
Omiš is approximately 30–45 minutes from Split by car via the coastal road, or accessible by local bus (line 60) from Split's local bus station. Split Airport is under one hour away. We also offer transfers — just ask when you book.
Omiš is best known for adventure sports — particularly white water rafting, canyoning, kayaking, and zipline — all centred around the Cetina River Canyon. It's also celebrated for its medieval pirate history, 15th-century hilltop fortresses, sandy beaches, and the annual Festival of Dalmatian Klapa songs held each July.
The rafting and canyoning season runs from April to November. July and September offer the best balance of warm weather, manageable crowds, and reliable water levels. Spring brings higher water and more excitement on the river; summer brings warmer temperatures and great swimming stops along the route.
Absolutely. Rafting on the Cetina is suitable for children aged 8 and over, with no prior experience needed. The town's beaches, boat trips, and old town walks are all family-friendly — and our guides are experienced at making every age group feel comfortable on the water.
